Meet the Dentist
Philip Shindler, D.D.S.
Serving Westlake Village since 1987
Dr. Shindler and his wife Beverley, grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he graduated from the prestigious dental school at WITS University.
They immigrated to California in 1981. After completing a postgraduate program through UCLA, Dr. Shindler passed the Dental Boards and began practicing in California in 1983. He has been in the Agoura/Westlake area since 1987.
Dr. Shindler is an avid cyclist, both road and mountain and also works out at the gym several times a week. He participates in many other sporting activities such as skiing, hiking, tennis, etc and is somewhat of an adrenalin junkie!
Beverley, who has worked side by side with Dr. Shindler since he opened the practice, loves to garden and work on home decorating projects. They have 2 grown children, Chelsey and Brandon.
Dr. Shindler and Beverley are devoted animal lovers and have 2 beautiful English Shepherds. Dr. Shindler also does volunteer work at Wildlife Waystation and has treated hundreds of animals there.
Dr. Shindler is a firm believer in continuing education and participates in many study groups and seminars. He is especially passionate about Implant restoration and Invisalign treatment.

- Advanced training in restoration of dental implants with Certification thru Nobel Biocare
- Volunteer at Wildlife Way Station doing animal dentistry
